CORONAVIRUS UPDATES

UPDATE 3/20/2020

RE: UBank Coronavirus Update

To All of our Loyal UBank Customers

While we’re in unprecedented times, our customers can rest assured that their money will remain safe and accessible even in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak in this country.

On March 16, 2020, we made the decision to redirect our lobby traffic to our drive-up area. We also divided our staff into two teams and will rotate on a weekly basis. We did this in order to prevent our entire staff from being quarantined in the event of one employee contracting or being exposed to the virus.

We continue to monitor and put into practice the information and recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), federal, state and local agencies and are reinforcing best health practices daily.

Even though our methods of providing services looks a little different today than a week ago, we continue to make every effort possible to provide our customers with a safe and convenient way to bank. To date, we have been able to handle every customer request through our drive-up window. Customers continue to make all their normal transactions such as deposits, withdrawals and loan payments. We’ve also had customers sign loan documents as well as notarize documents for customers.

Of course, don’t forget about our online banking products. This is another way to provide you with a safe and convenient way to bank while practicing social distancing and never leave the house.

We have had a few customers request access to their safe deposit boxes. We are allowing this access upon completion of a simple COVID-19 Risk Assessment Form. We will also be taking temperatures with a touchless thermometer on lobby visitors. This will be done by a qualified employee with a medical background.

We are in the process of contacting our loan & deposit customers to inquire about their health and safety as well as their current financial needs. We will continue to take loan requests by phone and are available to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. We want you to rest assured that we will do everything we can to help you in this time of uncertainty.

Sincerely,

Allen McClary
President & CEO

UPDATE 3/15/2020

UBank is continuing to stay abreast of the guidance from federal, state and local agencies in regards to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are incorporating recommendations and/or resources within our plan and reevaluating them on a daily basis.

As stated on the CDC.gov website, “the best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus”. Since the virus is thought to spread mainly from person to person, the CDC recommends at least 6 feet between you and your contact.

As a community bank, we pride ourselves in having a face-to-face customer service environment. However, during this time of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are asking our customers to remain calm and help us prevent the spread of this virus.

In order to protect our staff and their families, our customers and the general public from the transmission of COVID-19, we are temporarily implementing exposure-reducing measures, effective immediately.

What Does That Look Like?

No worries! UBank will continue to provide all of your financial needs.

In order to reduce foot traffic and the risk of virus transmission, our lobby area will be closed until further notice.

Our drive up area will remain open with normal banking hours.

For your protection of person to person contact, we strongly encourage you to use any or all of our online banking products, our 24/7 ATM and night drop.

Loan requests will be taken by phone.

Customer Service will be available during normal business hours:
